That way it allows world builders to drastically change the atmosphere/environment without relying on having to store massive volumes of voxel data.Ajmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12985928729302303917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779956188045272690.post-12465670455614077212014-07-01T14:53:51.250-04:002014-07-01T14:53:51.250-04:00The demo used for capturing the video has physics ...The demo used for capturing the video has physics disabled. This leads to towns that have all houses perfectly in a grid, which just isn't what any real town would look like. Building outside of grid should be as easy as building in the grid or else the end produce won't look realistic.Kipalehttp://kipale.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779956188045272690.post-9532813328989216172014-06-30T20:24:32.352-04:002014-06-30T20:24:32.352-04:00Not a question about the copy-pasting, but about p...Not a question about the copy-pasting, but about physics: When does an object become a physics object? So when does it fall? Because you created floating objects, but in other videos, floating objects would fall. Do you toggle physics, or does physics only work on bits that were cut off?Kamicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09074839497845172950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779956188045272690.post-18702834474814312302014-06-30T19:43:00.851-04:002014-06-30T19:43:00.851-04:00Yes, I have considered using grammars for this. In the video you are repeating the operations manually - have you thought about implementing a multiplier for translation / rotation operations?Piotrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14640796587430542268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779956188045272690.post-59893707291926060532014-06-30T13:42:44.860-04:002014-06-30T13:42:44.860-04:00Well you would still be building off the main grid...Well you would still be building off the main grid.
