Come see me!

Do you live in Montreal? Do you like beer?

The Mount Royal Game Society has invited me to give a talk about procedural things. It is happening next week. Here are the coordinates:

WHEN
Wednesday, September 5th, 19h30

WHERE
Brasserie Artisanale l’Amère à boire
2049 rue Saint-Denis, 3rd floor

I will be covering everything I have learned over these years. If you have any non-Minecraft related questions, I will be delighted to take them.

    1. Please record it if you can in any way. I'd love to hear what you have to share, but I don't live anywhere near the place, so its not possible for me to be there.

Put up on youtube or something, even sound only will be appreciated! Pretty please! : )

    2. I can only agree! Please if there's any possibility, get your talk filmed, or at least post slides or other material that you deem useful.

I'm all the way over in the UK so can't quite make it, but I'd find it fascinating to see your presentation!

    3. I cant come to Montreal either.
If you cant make a video or such, could you atleast make a (few) blog posts detailing what you have talked about? =D.
At the very least the things which you might not have said on this blog yet.

  2. I have nothing more to add ... please find a way to record your speach. I think there are much more people who would like to hear what you have to say.
    Greetings from Germany

  5. The website says there's "at least one math involved", might be a bit too technical for me. :(

(just kidding, I would love to be there but I too am in the UK. I hope you get a good turnout anyway, and good luck with the talk!)

  6. Hey! I might be able to come, I'll be in Ottawa then. It's orientation week at Uni, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get away, but if I can, I'd love to come down!

  7. Hey!

I'd also like the previous people love to see a video of this conference(especially your part) but if that isn't possible I'd love to see a nice long paper describing everything that you've talked about. I realize that both are a lot of work but they'd be greatly appreciated! It'd be amazing if you didn't only cover the theory behind it but went a little technical here and there!

Hah I know I am asking a lot but you don't have to do any of what I ask so why not ask right? =)

I've really enjoyed this blog so I can't wait to hear more =)

  8. Heh, even an audio recording, or someone typing out all you said would be fine with me XD. (Get one of those people who type out everything that is being said in court! They seem quite good at it XD)

  9. No need to feel bad if you cannot make it. I won't be covering any secret sauce. It is only 30 min, and there is a lot to cover. If you have been checking this blog regularly, you know this stuff already.

  11. Missed!
I'm reading your blog from time to time since last year.
Your researches are very interesting and also the way you're writing/talking about them.
I used to live in Montreal and miss such greatly "organized" event, people and fine beers! ;)
Did someone took a video of your talk?
    Best Regards
    François

    1. Thanks. The place was packed, but I did not see anyone recording video. I think they did record the audio and were going to sync the slides on top. I need to ask.

    1. I could, but they would be very confusing. They are really designed to go with the talk. Most of them have no text at all. I'm still waiting for the organizers to reply about the audio.

  13. I just got the recording. It is quite bad, you can barely hear me. It was recorded from a laptop that was behind me. Unworkable. Next time!
